THROUGH THE CORNER OF HIS EYES
a documentary on the life and times of Swami Venkatesananda
Filmed in Fremantle Western Australia in August 1982, Through the Corner of His Eyes is a unique account of the life of the great yogi, sage and scholar Swami Venkatesananda.
Venkatesa tells of his young life, meeting the legendary Swami Sivananda - "my gurudev" - joining Sivananda's yoga revolution and living and serving for seventeen years in his ashram in the foothills of the Himalayas.
This documenatry provides rare footage of Swamiji's daily life; his lectures and informal chats and encounters. It is the only time he permitted such extensive filming of his work and life and he was to leave the body within a few months of its completion.

PUJA: an introduction to the value of ritual (14 mins.)
Swami Venkatesananda at the opening to Puja says: "The seeker who recognises that there is a deep and unfathomable self-ignorance and at the same time recognises that his or her self-effort is inadequate to dispel this ignorance, engages in prayer. And prayer can take innumerable forms. One such form is puja or adoration or worship."
